PEP has a variety of regular Volunteer and/or Internship opportunities available for the fall!

Commitments range from 10-30hrs/week and we will work with colleges and universities to get academic credit for work performed!

Media Coordination Intern

Tasks Include:
-- Update and maintain website
-- Promote PEP news and events via Facebook, Myspace, Twitter, online calendars, press-releases, etc
-- Assist in Coordination of Strategic Public Opinion Campaign
-- Assist in publication of Monthly EZine
-- Assist in publication and distribution of Quarterly Newsletter
-- Help to develop strategies to increase volume of website traffic

Estimated time commitment: 15-20hrs/wk, 1-semester term

We will work with campuses to get academic credit approved.

Industrial Research Intern:

Tasks Include:
-- Analyze and document activities of St Louis area defense contractors
-- Write ~1 article/report per week related to research
-- Assist Strategic Public Opinion Campaign
-- Assist in publication of Monthly EZine
-- Assist in publication of Quarterly Newsletter
-- Study and document past and current nature of the Military-Industrial-Congressional Complex

Estimated time commitment: 10-20hrs/wk, 1-semester term

We will work with campuses to get academic credit approved.

General Intern:
(a la Independent Study)

Tasks Include:
-- Working with staff and other interns
-- Assist with PEP initiatives, particularly events
-- Develop work-plan of individual role in promotion of the mission of the Peace Economy Project may include:
- Planning related book reviews
- Media analysis of defense spending/contracting issues
- Historical review of Economic Conversion efforts
- Investigate individuals with strong MICC connections (follow and document the “Revolving door” between military, corporations, and government)

Estimated time commitment: 10-30hrs/wk, 1-semester term
